Michael Dodo, President and CEO of West Central Food Service, donates two trucks filled with fresh food and supplies to the first responders, volunteers and victims battling the Southern California Thomas and Lilac wildfires.

LOS ANGELES, CA, December 14, 2017 /24-7PressRelease/ — Michael Dodo, President and CEO of West Central Food Service, a premium wholesale food and restaurant supply distribution company, allocated a large donation of fresh food and supplies to be delivered to both Del Mar and Oxnard, CA. in order to nourish the brave first responders, volunteers and unfortunate victims of the devastating Thomas and Lilac wildfires.

A massive volunteer effort was underway at the Del Mar Fairgrounds last Friday the 8th to care for more than 800 horses and livestock evacuated from the Lilac Fire in northern San Diego County. When Michael Dodo, a philanthropist and strong believer in social responsibility, was made aware of the ongoing battle to rescue these animals, he stocked a semi-trailer truck full of fresh produce, beverages and energy protein bars, drove to Del Mar, and personally offloaded and distributed his goods to the extensive crowd of weary volunteers. On Monday the 11th, after fielding a call from the Ventura chapter of the American Red Cross, he issued another substantial donation of supplies, and sent it to Food Share www.foodshare.com in Oxnard for distribution to the first responders and victims of the still yet uncontained Thomas Fire.
