Partnership With University of South Florida Quarterback Jarren Williams Marks College Hunks’ Second Major CFB Quarterback Signing Since July 1
TAMPA, FL, July 15, 2021 /24-7PressRelease/ — Recently recognized as the first to sponsor a college athlete and first to sponsor an entire women’s team roster, College HUNKS Hauling Junk and Moving® is adding to its list of historical moves. College HUNKS adds University of South Florida (USF) Quarterback Jarren Williams to its sponsorship roster with a first-of-its-kind deal for the university and the American Athletic Conference.
Earlier this month, the NCAA approved a policy that allows college athletes to profit from their names, images, and likeness. As Building Leaders is one of College HUNKS’ core values, the company recognized this opportunity to align with leaders in college athletics.
“H.U.N.K.S. stands for Honest, Uniformed, Nice, Knowledgeable, Service, and we are committed to building and supporting leaders. Through our partnership with our existing players as well as this new partnership with Jarren Williams, we hope that we can help further his growth as he looks to lead the USF program while also navigating school and life,” said Nick Friedman, Co-founder and Visionary of College HUNKS.
Williams, who recently transferred to USF after competing for the University of Miami (UM), contacted College HUNKS after the company disrupted the industry by singing the first-ever NIL deal on July 1, 2021, with UM Quarterback D’Eriq King. With Tampa being home to both USF and College HUNKS’ headquarters, the franchise with 160 locations is thrilled to provide opportunities to collegiate athletes within the market.
Financial terms of the deal are not disclosed; however, the partnership includes promoting job opportunities with local Florida franchises and public appearances. The company kicked off this new partnership with Williams by hosting a charitable event with National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, where College HUNKS donated $15,000 to the organization.
“College HUNKS is an entrepreneurial organization that started as a college business plan, so I felt it would be awesome to align myself with them,” said Williams. “As someone always on the move— including my most recent move from Miami to Tampa— I appreciate the work HUNKS does. I want to help promote employment opportunities for college students like myself and recent graduates alike.”
In addition to King, Williams joins a class of athletes signed with College HUNKS in this month alone, including University of Miami Safety Bubba Bolden, University of Florida Defensive Lineman Gervon Dexter, Michigan State Quarterback Anthony Russo and the entire University of Central Florida Women’s Basketball roster.
“This is truly an exciting time for college sports, and we are delighted to be supporting this historic movement by teaming up with another leader in college athletics. We look forward to watching Williams excel on the field and in the classroom this year,” added Friedman.
